I am sooo tired...

My seven year old son Cade is button pushing today (and the past few days). Extreme 'smart mouth' mode, constant arguing, I say 'no' to something and he keeps asking over and over and wants to know why and engage me in debate. All useful skills, no doubt, but I am worn out.

 Patience and compassion? More like... irritation, anger and helpless fear-am I a bad mom, failing my children? Those doubts forever lurks right below the surface and it doesn't take much to bring them roaring up.

 Tomorrow is another day.
